" It kills you to see them grow up.But I guess it would kill you more if they didn't "-Barbara Kingsolver-
Happy Monday Nore Mama's! Recently we put together a fun circus themed first birthday party for the worlds cutest one year old! I thought I'd share a few pics and tips for your little ones next milestone!
Planner Hacks
- Dream then Budget : Don't let your budget ruin your creativity, dream big then scale back. This way you will stay closer to your original vision and get more of what you really want.
- Be selective : Give yourself lots of time to find what you need. When you wait until the last minute you will pay way too much for whats available or settle for something that doesn't really work.
- Have a backup: Never rely entirely on anyone…and I mean anyone! Friends and family are great and so's the awesome baker down the street until there your last resource. Always keep a backup in your pocket.
- Stash mad money: No matter what you set your budget at you will almost always go over. Keep a little petty cash and don't touch it until the day before your event.
- Keep it short: Send out two set of invites with varying times (If you must) ,to ensure those time challenged loved ones arrive as close to your start time as possible. You must consider that a one year old still naps and will become quite agitated with a long drawn out party.
- Delegate cleanup: Life goes on when everyone leaves. If you're having your event at home or in a rented space make sure you enlist all those " Volunteers" to help after so you're not overwhelmed. Consider dipping into that mad money and offer to buy dinner for those who stay behind.
Lastly everything won't ever work out perfect to plan but be creative, have fun and take lots of pics to remember the day!
