I read somewhere that yesterday was considered "Blue Monday" a day where people are supposedly more depressed than any other day during the year. I'm not sure if its because the cold winter months are in full effect or if the luster of the holidays have worn off but I refuse to be a believer. So I pulled together a few tips to help boost your mood out of the Blues.
Keep in mind that you'll probably need a lot less healthcare if you put a little more into your self care!

- Spruce up your space - Loving where you live makes the long months indoors way more bearable.
- Exercise - Even if you stay home, get moving. Studies show people who are more active struggle less with depression, Alexa Jean fitness is one of my favs she has boss at home workouts! http://www.alexajeanfitness.com/
- Dress up even if you don't go out- Pull it together girl, your more likely to accept an invitation to meet up if your already ready to go!
- Clean up your diet- I am so here for comfort foods but, Ive learned to eat in moderation because they seriously affect my mood, mind and general motivation.
- Dial up your friends- when all else fails..... socialize its healthy and healing.
