The one question I get asked the most is; can you please help me with my closet! A closet redo seems like a huge pain in one so we tend to put it off forever. So what if I told you there is a way to get your closet reigned back in and maintained for longer periods of time. Well you can, I took the key components from some of the things that have worked for me in styling my space and broke it down over 3 days and 3 steps!
Day 1-
Pull it all out : Sort through and make three piles to place in bags. You will be working with a donate, sell and keep pile to organize your clothes, bag those piles and label the bags. That's it ! Clear out any trash and random clutter and call it a day.(* Side note pull out anything you need to wear for the next day so your not stuck rummaging in the morning)
Day 2- Boutique it back in : Start putting the items from your keep pile back in by color it will give your closet a more streamlined boutiqued feel. Now when you put your keepables back in use a color wheel as your guide and go from darks to lights. Then go in and separate by sleeve length ( tanks to long sleeves) and sort your tops on top bars and bottoms on bottom bars. Don't over pack it, you'll want your hangers to have almost a finger space in between each.
Day 3- Wrap Party : Now that your closet is color coded and organized its time to add in your accoutrements and personal lovelies. Time to put up a new mirror, hang your jewelry hooks and photos. Also don't forget to wrap up any miscellaneous trash items, take out your last two bags, vacuum and voila your done.

See easy peasy... if you make it so! You can add on to this process and really do it up or keep it as simple as you want for just a general organization guide. Either way don't let it turn into an all day monster that you cant get a handle on.
